They have a lean recruitment team and a steady demand for new providers, which requires a need to be strategic with the recruitment tools they adopt. “Our favorite thing about Talent Finder Pro, Doximity’s white glove service, is that our Client Success Manager does the sourcing and initial outreach, and our team benefits from the results. Without this tool, our team would not be as successful as we have been,” remarks Stacey Salyer, Director of Talent Acquisition at Northern Arizona Healthcare. During the summer of 2019, Northern Arizona Healthcare launched their employed orthopedics service model and turned to Doximity Talent Finder Pro to assist in the hiring of orthopedic surgeons to join the practice. To begin the search process, their recruitment team met with Erin Eleuterio, their Doximity Client Success Manager, to chat about the job details and the type of candidate they were looking for. Based on this insight, Erin made some recommendations on different strategies to incorporate into sourcing and candidate outreach. After agreeing upon a strategy of targeting physicians local to the Flagstaff area using past ties (medical school, residency, etc.), Erin started the search within Talent Finder for physicians that fit the criteria. “We love being able to tell Erin exactly what we’re looking for. From there, she suggests some approaches we can take and begins the search process for us. We don’t have to double check any of the work she does because we really trust her with our sourcing," says Stacey.
After narrowing down to a strong pool of candidates, Erin sent out a round of DocMails to the group of physicians. Shortly after sending out the messages, Erin received an interested response from a trauma surgeon who had grown up and gone to high school in Flagstaff and was looking to move back to the west coast - it was a perfect fit, and he started with Northern Arizona Healthcare in the fall of 2019. “This hire was an example of the power of Doximity. Given our location in a small, mountain town in Arizona, it can be challenging to attract physicians who have not heard of the area. Because Erin targeted physicians who already had ties to the area, we were able to hire someone who was interested in moving back. Talent Finder Pro is an investment but hires like this provide a return on our investment and more,” remarks Stacey.
